Garesfield Colliery, High Spen, beehive coke ovens
These are the last Beehive Coke Ovens that were used by the NCB. They are at High Spen at Garesfield Colliery ( possibly the Bute Pit ). They were supposed to be part of a history park but are now hidden behind an industrial estate, in one place about 6 feet from a factory fence.
