Hilda Hayton, of Church Street Head, who for many years cared for the grave of the Rev John Bacchus Dykes (1823-1876), at St Oswald's. Dykes was Cathedral choirmaster, later Vicar of St Oswald's, and a world famous composer of hymn tunes. Durham Advertiser photograph.
