Snuff Box, 106th Light Infantry

Snuff Box, 106th Light Infantry, 1878. This snuff box is made from a horse's hoof mounted in silver. It was presented to the 106th Light Infantry's Officers' Mess by Captain Edward Pechell in 1878. The hinged silver lid bears the number '106' and the silver plaque below has the name of Captain Pechell's horse 'Amberwitch'. Acc No: 312
