Cup, 68 Light Infantry
Coffee Cup and Saucer, 68th Light Infantry, about 1870. This white china cup and saucer set was made by 'Minton'. The cup and saucer are edged in gold and the badge is '68' within a stringed bugle horn and all inside a crowned blue circlet with 'Durham Light Infantry' in gold. This cup and saucer belonged to Major Hugo Shelley Light, who served in the 68th Light Infantry from 1853 to 1871 and fought in both the Crimean and New Zealand Wars. Acc No: 4012/601.
