Group includes head boy George Pallister (seated, centre), Lawrence Howarth (middle row, 2nd from right) later a Fleet Street journalist and Stan Cardwell (donor of this photograph) front left. The men in the back row, from left: teacher Mr Hattersley, Darlington Director of Education Mr Boyde and Headmaster Benjamin Scholefield. The school closed in 1937.
