Durham City, King William IV, North Road

This well known group of properties at the foot of North Road saw its last tenant, Charles Lawson, newsagent, vacate his shop next to the old King William the Fourth in January 1953. These buildings were then demolished consequent on the Millburngate Development. Durham Advertiser photograph.
