Sword, 68 Light Infantry

Officer's Sword, 68th Light Infantry, 1855-1870. This 1822 pattern Infantry Officer's sword was made by 'Henry Wilkinson' and has a straight steel blade etched with the battle honours of the 68th Light Infantry. This sword belonged to Henry Villiers-Stuart, who served with the Regiment in New Zealand as a Lieutenant and was wounded during the Battle of Te Ranga in June 1864. Acc No: 421
