Durham City, Elvet Bridge, east end

These are the only buildings still remaining on the bridge, although there is evidence that there were once buildings right across. The carriages seen under the arch are standing beside the Half Moon Inn, where there were livery stables and carriage works. Copied from an original Judges' postcard.
