Lanchester, Knitsley Viaduct

Built in 1862 as part of the Lanchester valley branch railway it was situated one and a half miles north-west of Lanchester. The viaduct was built mainly of wood with 36 spans of 20 feet each. It was replaced with an embankment in 1919.
