Darlington, St Cuthbert's Church

Print of an engraving from a drawing by Samuel Wilkinson made in 1784 and published in the Gentleman's Magazine, 1824. Wilkinson was a Darlington innkeeper and amateur draughtsman and illustrator who produced a number of notable views of Darlington in the eighteenth century. The engraver John Bailey was born at Bowes and worked as land agent to Lord Tankerville at Chillingham.
