East Hedley Hope Victoria Drift
Pit Closed 31st Jan 1959. The management developed this drift to the Victoria Seam with the intention to work it as a private mine, but the NCB having closed the pit as worked out then open cast the area thus preventing this drift ever producing any coal.
Taken in 1991 it was easily accessible for about 100 yards until meeting the water level. It may now have been back filled.
